Our Solar Radiometer is a glass sphere that is powered by the sun.The wings in the Radiometer are alternately light and dark in color. When light strikes these wings heat is transfered to each one, but not to the same degree. The lighter wing acts as a mirror and reflects the light & the dark wing absorbs the light.the stronger the light, the more energy there is to " heat up" the dark wing, allowing it to move faster as the light gets brighter.
