SOLAR SPECTRUM CHART

This handsome wall chart, covering the visible portion of the solar spectrum, shows the location of the more prominent Fraunhofer lines. These dark lines, some narrow, some wide, are caused by the absorption of specific frequencies within the atmosphere of the earth or sun. Both colorful and informative, this chart makes an excellent teaching aid for any science classroom. There are top and bottom metal binding strips on the heavy paper stock. The top band includes a tab suitable for wall hanging.

Our Holographic Diffraction Gratings are highly efficient embossed Holographic Optical Elements (H.O.E.). Diffraction Gratings are used for the direct viewing and analysis of spectra from different gas tubes and other light sources. Our gratings are the principal component in a spectroscope and are used for experiments pertaining to the study of light and color.
